Game creator

Hey all!
I am working on a project for school and am hoping to make it into a (super basic) RPG. Heh. Does anyone know of a good game creator that doesn't require much programming? Preferrably free or with a free trial version available. I know there are a few out there, but I've found that most of them are better for shooters, maze/puzzle games, arcade-style, and strategy games. Like I said, an RPG would be best. If you have any info/tips, it would be much appreciated! <3

Thanks for the tip! I am

I echo what Shihli said; RPG
Raziella — Sat, 03/26/2011 - 00:30I echo what Shihli said; RPG maker has been through a few iterations so I'm not sure what the current style is, but it's totally customizable. If you know the programming (ruby on rails, last I heard) you can change stuff around, otherwise it comes with a set of characters, backgrounds, etc. It's a ton of fun if you're into sandbox type designing.
There was an old, 16-bit
Shihli — Wed, 03/23/2011 - 17:11There was an old, 16-bit style RPG maker called, if I recall, RPG Maker. It might have evolved quite a bit since my college days, and it looks like the damn thing is pay-to-use now. But it has a free trial - that might do the trick.
