hello all,
I havent posted or played for a bit so, there are lots of ya that prolly dont know me to well and to everyone one else.... hi!
well, I just wanted to say that my lvl'ing to 80 will be put on hiatus. on my annual winter break in Angelfire, NM I took a rather nasty spill on a jump and ended up seperating my AC and partially tearing a ligament.
I'll prolly start rehab sometime next week so hopefully I can get back with it very soon!

Greetings and Happy New Year Salutations, Downfall Guildies!
My premonition of the end of my job did indeed come true, and the Axe Has Fallen. I now join the ranks of my fellow guildies that got unemployed.
Feb. 16th is my last day of work, and then I will be UNEMPLOYED!!!!! *Channel Michael Caine in the "Muppet Christmas Carol" here, please*.
I don't know what to do. Should I go to grad school? Keep working? I think I might keep working.. I just don't know.
So until further notice I am still unable to take up Wow!!!!! I MISS IT.

Hey everyone. Just stopping by to say hello. I havn't signed on Afton in a long while simply because no time. i just recently hit 80 on my Horde and now whenever I have time to actually play I'm doing heroics. So, this would be the best way to keep in touch with you all. I hope you guys didn't forget me because you're all a really great group of friends to me. Anyway.

I can't find it anywhere, but does the same rank flamestrikes cast by the same mage stack. I saw on elitistjerks that flamestrikes of different ranks can stack, that would lead someone to believe that flamestrikes of the same rank wouldn't. Right??
In case I just confused someone.
I cast Flamestrike (rank 10) on some mobs
I cast Flamestrike (rank 10) on the same mobs
Question. Do both flamestrike dots stack??
The End of the Current Era

Well, we all knew it was coming anyway, but I figured on making an official announcement.
Today I put a freeze on my account. The bastard economy that killed other's jobs has finally come crawling at my door, and while I haven't lost my job yet, there's possibility that come January I won't be employed anymore. I'm cutting back on non-essentials, and paying for WoW when I hardly ever use it, well, there it is. I didn't even by the expansion yet, so I'm safe there.
I'm not leaving forever. :) I couldn't do that (until you all quit, of course, then I'll leave). But it's going to be a new record before I get to 80. My account runs out the 7th, so I'll probably hop on to settle some things.
The hardest part is now coming. If necessary, I will relinquish my Guild Mascot Title... but I REALLY REALLY REALLY DON'T WANT TOO.
I love you all, of course (except Keisjaa) and I'll hopefully see you around next year.

Here's my UI check it out see if you like it. It works out really well for me because I dont like to move my mouse too much hence the lack of bars at the side of the screen, I dont have too much keybound cause ive really only been doin heroics but I have things like ice block and cold snap with cooldowns macro keybound. runon lol.
Focus Magic vs. Icy veins

I know I'm going to go fire in WOTLK, but I've been really curious about the arcane tree and always wandered why I never see anyone get Focus Magic. BENEFITS
Both tier 1 talents will help with AOE. As far as I can tell, every fire mage will eventually cast AE.
Clear Casting
periodic 3% chance to critically hit (idk how much spell crit mages will have in Wrath, but in BC, most had atleast 30%, therefore every nine seconds or less, it would proc)
2% increased spell damage on Scorch, Fireball, Fireblast(for when u have to move) and AE.
Your giving another one of ur spell casters 3% crit. Gues you could say that it helps with Raid synergy.
DOWNFALLS
If you happen to be facing something that is immune to fire, u have to cast a 3 sec frostbolt.
NO Icy Veins I understand that will have a huge impact on single target enemies, but hoping the 3% to crit and 2% extra damage will compensate.
NO 20% CD on Ice Block, and theres alot of times I wished I could have IBed but it was still on CD.
NO extra 3% to hit or 3% mana reduction. I know Clear Casting will compensate for the 3% mana reduction, but I also know how hard it was for me to reach hit cap in BC WITH this talent.( I will say, I didn't see any t5 material, so I had to farm Kara, craft items, and gem most of my hit)
Basically, I think it comes down to is Icy Veins (with 20% CD reduction) and 3% to hit more single target dps than 3% to crit and 2% extra damage on scorch and Fireball.
