WoWCubes Back On Sale: $699 For Great Raid Performance
garreth — Sat, 03/06/2010 - 01:14
I've been approached by many people regarding the ol' Cubes and thought I'd get my ordering/building system back up and going again. WoWCubes are back up and ready to be built for any and all that are looking for top notch raid performance.
Quick Specs:
- Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit
- AMD Athlon II X2 255 3.1Ghz Dual Core CPU
- 2 GB of DDR2 800 RAM
- Radeon 4850 1GB video card
- Seagate 500 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
- 460W Power Supply
This will be more than enough to tackle any and all raids we encounter at high frames (with pretties turned on!). WoWCubes I sold last summer continue to perform solidly in ICC, and this version is even more powerful than those. Every 'Cube I build, I hand tweak all network, video and audio settings to ensure they're tuned for the most performance possible.
The price is $699 + $35 shipping and handling. To place an order, simply PayPal me using: bloomcb@gmail.com
If you just want to build the thing yourself, PM me on the site and I'll send you the parts list.

lleme — Thu, 03/11/2010 - 22:42now is this 699 of this goofy american money..or monopely money(canadian :P)
It's monopoly money. But if
cromi — Thu, 03/11/2010 - 22:50It's monopoly money. But if you pay with monopoly money, you must not only give your 1st born (as dictated when you join the guild) But your 2nd born also, must be given to the guild to build the wow army to rule the world....of warcraft.
Also, please understand that
garreth — Sat, 03/06/2010 - 15:14Also, please understand that if you're going to build this cube yourself using the parts list, I am not available to guide you through the process, fix your errors and then generally spend a lot of my time holding your hand through the process.
But if you're OK at building computers, I'd rather have a guild full of people running decent hardware (for once)!
For the few bucks extra
Ewiges — Mon, 03/08/2010 - 05:07For the few bucks extra wouldn't 64-bit be a much better choice? I think everything there is compatible and this way upgrading wouldn't require an OS upgrade. I don't know what I'm talking about... maybe I do.
At two GB of RAM, 64-bit is
garreth — Mon, 03/08/2010 - 10:01At two GB of RAM, 64-bit is actually a bad choice for these. 64-bit Windows 7 has a higher base RAM usage than 32-bit. And since the only program anyone uses that actually gets some sort of benefit from 64-bit is Photoshop (and even then, only like 5% at 8GB of RAM), 32 is the way to go in these cubes.
I approve this message, one
Dragon — Sat, 03/06/2010 - 14:36I approve this message, one of the best investments I ever made. And what isn't stated here is the dps increase you get by getting one of these machines. FPS DOES MATTER YOU DPSERS
Fantastic system choice
Derchlon — Sat, 03/06/2010 - 13:59IT'S A SCAM! DO NOT BUY!
Just kidding. I've used mine for almost a year now, and I couldn't ask for more really. I get to turn on all the high intensity stuff, and it works likea charm.
My typical FPS was around 20-30 in combat (Hodir was an exception, that was around 15).
