i use a couple, its totally fine with me since it makes it easier anyway. As for the next question, that would depend what, im rly comfortable with my good old Healbot and doing great with it, i dont like Grid, personal preference though.

My toon is a draenei so i started in BC, All BC except Muru and KJ, All WOTLK excpet 3 drakes which i never rly had the chance to have the good group for. All as healer, i lvl from lvl 1 to 70 as holy so lots of healing exp.

I will let this thread hang out as it stood before it was permanently closed. However, I would like to add some commentary.

To start:

1) If you have deep-seated bad blood with current guildies, don't spill it all over the application. Take the time to attempt to rationalize and explain your point-of-view.

2) If you're trying to join a progression-oriented raid and the guild it's in, don't insult the guild. This is really really dumb.

3) If you want to raid, stick with a guild - any guild - for more than 2 months at a time. Check his history:

^ As you can see from above, he changed guilds NINE TIMES over the course of one year. That's one guild about every 6 weeks. If you expect to get any raiding done, you need to actually, y'know, stick around.

That, or have a tolerable personality, which Phyltran does not appear to have.

4) Before you talk mad shit about a raid/guild's raiding prowess, make sure your achievement history can back up your shit! Phylran has killed all of 4 bosses in heroic Ulduar - Flame Leviathan, Iron Council, Thorim, and Yogg-Saron. So apparently he was baby-sat through Yogg. Also make sure you've even so much as cleared it on 10man.

ALSO, make sure you've even done anything noteworthy before Ulduar. Seriously.

5) Don't make enemies with people that are smarter than you.

Seeing as attitude goes a long way for a community this app goes in compost bin imo. The addition and asset to the guild community has yet to be seen considering we also have a decent of non raiding members and it's not always just about the raid(s). We have become one of the top guilds on the servers because people have put a lot of time and research into what they are doing and the tools they use to get the job done. Arguing on a guild app is like telling your potential boss at a job interview you can do their job better and then aruging the whys with them. It doesn't fly there and it sure as hell doesn't fly here.

I don't like your overall attitude. I don't like the bad reference that Knoppix has given you and the frustrations he expressed to me BEFORE he was even in guild about you. I don't like you fighting Grid. I don't like that you only seem to want to join for the raiding benefits and not the community.

Let me see, the reason I kicked you from Covenant was that because you said you did not need any more loot from Naxx and instead told me to find a healer to replace you while you then chose to run with another guild on your mage to gear it up. You thought this was no big deal and didnt see the issue with it. I see a huge fucking issue with it, it's called healers are hard as fuck to find and I didnt want to find a replacement. Being a true raider means coming to raid whether you need gear or not and being there to to support the guild and have fun. Half of the time alot of the stuff you said was very questionable and made me wonder how dedicated you really were to raiding as a whole. Wanting top end gear and being a raider are two different things, don't expect to come here get gear and think you can stop raiding once you are geared up that kind of bullshit doesnt fly here and neither do people with bad attitudes. People with bad attitudes can destroy small guilds and you have a score of 1 on doing that so far to Covenant.

I will ask you wtf makes me think you will not do that again? I highly doubt that your attitude has improved what so ever and if it has I franky don't give a shit. Once a bad egg always a bad egg, people and their actions rarely change over time.

I am not going to go into this and nerdrage anymore but I dsiapprove this application. This is not a biased opinion and some of the ex-Covenant people that are now in Downfall feel the same way. Application terminated in my honest opinion.

P.S. don't tell people HealBot is better it is shit GRID rules!

I dont rly needed more Naxx gear and was bored of Naxx and wanted to take a break and you kicked me for that. First, i told you and Morg to get a replacement for a while but you didn't wanted and you were butthurt you were losing your best healer for a while. Thats not my problem. Plus, how did you wanted me to bring my mage to the raids when at this point, we had only 1 raid going and 2 tanks, 3 healers and 5 dps. You would have kicked another dps to make place for my mage? Yea, bullshit. "and i didn't want ro find a replacement" (butthurt there). As i said, i was bored of Naxx and that was the main reason i wanted to take a brake, if you cant respect that, its not my fucking problem dude. Btw, i was supporting the guild enough with my heals, thx a lot. Bad attitudes? ok, i would like to mention most of the bad chat "attitude" was made by you and Morg when we were constantly wiping on 3D 10 man so, "ppl are fucking retard failing to red shit and firewall, etc" Yea, qq more Knop. Plus you were raid leader so you should have lead by example imo, not dishing on ppl failing. If you're so worried about loosing your ability to click on a name to heal or cleanse while using grid, get clique. Take 10 minutes out of your time and learn how clique and grid can make your life much easier. You wlil instead of having a 1x25 name interface, you will have a 5x5 interface. What happens if person #25 at the bottom of the list needs a heal, and the previous person at #2 was the last person you needed a heal? Chances are he's going to die in the time you moved your mounse from position 2 to 25, where in grid i can, at most, move 5 positions from the previous person that needs to be healed. Same thing applys if you need to cleanse, HoF, HoP, HoSalvation, or HoSacrafice someone.

Having used healbot and grid around the same time to see what everyone was talking about. Grid will always win in this competition because it is much easier to manage and it keeps your raid frames better kept. I play with my screen downsized for performance issues and i need the rest of that room on my screen for actual video maxed out. Grid allows you to just do so much more its just pure win.

1) Our guild uses Grid, not Healbot. Therefore, although you could see what other healers are doing if they had Healbot, *we* aren't going to be using it. Adapt or die.

2) We aren't just a "progression guild". We're a community, a group of friends first and before anything else. You obviously don't seem to care.

I give this guy a big fat no. Even if we do need more healers, we don't need ones with egos and a bad rep.

Doesnt matter what healbot will do, WE use GRID - if you dont, you are not in DF.

We have a collection of the best healers on server bar none. Healers who have healed on the same character for years and never played DPS or tank. Having done it that long, we are pretty damn good at it and know what we are talking about

Long story short, yes. Grid is superior to Healbot in every way, and if you are unwilling to use a *better* mod to be a *better* healer, you're holding yourself, and by extension your raid, back.
