That gave me a whole new peice of screen to use :) I also moved my combat log another thing i would have removed if I could but not possible so minimized is the best I could get.

Elapsed — Mon, 07/12/2010 - 11:16ah I recall that when they first brought the quest tracker into the game (the most recent upgrade I mean) that if you had been tracking an achievement at one point and accomplished said achievement it would "continue to track it" but not display it, I recommend going through your accomplished achievements and finding the ones its tracking and shift click them. now while this will not obliterate the tracker itself it will as long as you're not tracking any quests or achievements

I very rarely even have to drink much less go oom not too long ago this was a constant problem for me. I like this application

Has a nice attitude about learning and taking advice. I think those are nice attributes for a raider, especially for a tightnit community such as Downfall.
At the moment, she is a tad undergeared for ICC hardmodes, but has made huge strides in that department recently, so that is pleasing to see. I did a ICC 10 with her last night. She was vocal, which is important for a healer, and willing to learn, and did so quickly and effortlessly. I enjoyed raiding with her, and hope to see her in the dfrecruit channel! Starra

You unspeced in things that are considered core specs that you should not skimp on at all, and talented into things you should not have. Unyielding Faith is a usless talent; there is nothing in ICC that can fear or disorient except for blood queen (you're human, use your racial to get out of the fear) and trash pulls on the way to dreamwalker( only 2 npcs disorient). Divine Intellect is a talent you MUST get 5/5. Holy power is a talent that you MUST get 5/5. Divine Guardian is a talent that you could get away with being 1/2, but getting 2/2 is better.
Other talents you can get rid of: Sacred Cleansing (bosses don't do imp diseases, magic, or poisions untill you use this for pvp) and Pure of heart (curses should be dispelled in raid by a friendly druid or mage, diseases and poisions are cleansable by yourself).

Elapsed — Mon, 06/28/2010 - 11:00First off thanks for coming to Ulduar and I hope that Kaluu and I (and maybe some other Pally's posts here) don't scare you away. The way I see it anyone who chosen the painful job of being a holy pally has some chance for redemption (pally joke)
1. I agree with Kaluu's post.
2. You're Human! do the Sons of Hodir chain!!!!!! you can be exalted in a day with just a few Relics of Ulduar because of the 10% rep increase. Also you're spitting distance from Kirin'Tor rep to get your helm enchant. just take the time to punch out a few heroics!
3. your UI makes me cry. I'm sorry theres no better way to put it. First get PallyPower. It's the single best way for a raid leader or a pally with assist to co-ordinate pally buffs and Auras. also you can use it to track your seal and how long is left on it! secondly get Grid, 90% of the guild uses it religiously to heal, used in conjunction with mouseover macros you'll end up being way more efficient. as per how stock your UI looks I understand some people like it like that...... doesn't mean I have to like it lol!
4. (and this one is completely optional) Herbalism I get that it's handy to keep with Alchemy, I do, I also get that as a pally with Crusader aura and Aura Mastery you can fly super super fast, But in all honesty in a raid environment it's pretty useless. Theres some helpful abilities on the other professions that are just hard to ignore. Things like rocket boosts for your boots for 24 crit and ability to zoom out of danger when you need to, or Enchanting with SP to rings. (and lets not forget the bonuses to prot as well but I'm focusing on holy since you apped as such) or JewelCrafting which gives some pretty bomb gems to put in your gear. The list really goes on and on and neither of the gathering profs are worth their salt in a raiding environment.
5. If you need enchants or tips I'm a 450 enchanter with everything you'll need to become effective hit me up in game for an enchanting link should you need it.
6. oh and my last one, your spec, I know Kaluu mentioned some minor changes you could use. Per your current gear I would go with what he said on alterations. But once you get some gear going, like your 2 piece tier 10 (which isn't all that hard to get) you should look into a 54/17/0 type spec to get Divine Sacrifice. if you do a little research you'll see pallies from top guilds all over the world using this type spec to become more utility to a raid and not just the tank healer. however my personal note on the current spec you use is if you can afford it get 2/2 Lay on Hands. the physical damage reduction and the time reduce are amazing an 11min LOH (glyphed) is fantastic and when a tank has blown all their CDs they can be saved by you and your LoH's 20% physical damage reduction for 15 seconds.
7. I'm sorry if we come off as harsh but I'm fairly certain I mentioned that if a pally apps odds are you'll be ripped to shreds lol so I hope you don't take any of this personally and maybe learn a bit in the process. Oh and please defend your choices if you feel that were wrong. tell us why. maybe you can teach us something!
A few things about your gear,
Ghli — Mon, 06/28/2010 - 10:18A few things about your gear, and don't take this personally; this is a straight up honest reporting on your gear.
What the hell are you thinking when you were gemming and enchanting? You have almost next to no enchants on your gear. A spellpower/spirit leg enchant is very, VERY, VERY wrong for you to use; you get nothing from spirit until cataclysm comes out, and that won't be for another 4-5 months at minimum. Really....... your meta gem.... seriously, you have threat problems as a healer? You should NOT have problems with threat. You should be using an insightful earthsiege diamond. With using an insightful earthsiege diamond, you will end up needing a red gem as well, or just pick some socket and put a nightmare tear with the rest of your int gems. You also really need to work on your Sons of Hodir rep. You currently have NO access to any shoulder enchants with no rep to speak of.
Now to your gear choices. I'm guessing you're using a band of the invoker since you have no access to other rings. Je'tze's bell is not exactly great. You're better off going to ToC5 normal and keep farming Tears of the Vanquished over and over until it drops.
It's highly not recommended to go 1/2 way on improved talents such as improved BoW. Getting blessed life as a talent is more of a wasted talent point. You're better off replacing that one talent point and get blessed hands, or another point into concentration aura. You having both the glyph of seal of wisdom and seal of light are acutally clashing with each other. One glyph will be active while you have one seal up; the other glyph is a wasted spot when it's not active. The seal of Light glyph isn't good unless you're healing and taking portals in the Dreamwalker encounter. You're better off with a Glyph of holy light to replace this.
Now to your prot talents..... well, you said you were applying for healing, but there are too many things in your prot spec that scream "FIX ME". Drop all you points in reckoning completely, and drop down to 1 point in spiritual attunement. Redistribute these 6 points into 3 points into conviction, and 3 points into crusade. 3 Glyphs that you should want in your prot spec are Glyph of Righteous Defense (raises your chance to taunt to almost 100%), Glyph of divine plea (all incoming damage is reduced by 3%), and Glyph of sense undead (you do 1% more damage to undead mobs, which naxx and ICC are full of).

as per what Kaluu said here's what I recommend and do. Find somewhere that a nightmare's tear is going to activate a socket bonus (since it's a multi color gem) for instance your belt, the first socket is a yellow obviously a good spot for 20 int. the second one is a blue. Now unless you're planning on gemming int/mp5 (which is entirely up to you and your play style) I'd put the tear there in that 2nd socket to get the bonus SP and activate your meta! If not there replace the one in your bracers. Nice work on the shoulder enchant I wouldn't drop the big bucks on that if I were you I would rather save the exalted enchant for the T10 shoulders you can get.
Oh if you go on to get the easy way to get your 2 piece that would be shoulder/gloves since theyre only 60 badges each. and your 2 piece is SO OP. Since the realm is down and I'm not fully ready to play Borderlands or Fable 2 I'll take the time to explain.
normally if you were to say, pop Divine plea your heals are reduced by 50% for the duration while you regain 15% of your mana. not a bad trade off but could be a tank killer if not timed right.
now my initial fix to this was to pop wings at the same time so you'd get the 20% bonus healing from it, making it only 30% reduced healing for the 15 seconds.... Still a possible tank killer if not used properly.
The new 2 piece reads as such "While your Divine Illumination talent is active your healing spells are 35% stronger"
so with 2 piece T10 you do as follows, pop Divine Illumination Avenging Wrath and Divine plea and you get the following
50% Reduced Mana Cost on your heals
5% (35+20-50) bonus healing
15% mana regained
for the first 15 seconds and then 5 more seconds of 20% bonus healing from the end of Wings.
Makes it one hell of a useful plea, Still regaining a bit of mana even if you're stuck holy bombing the tank to keep em up.
