if people are at raid, shouldn't they get a fair gambit? I mean, they're contributing to raid, they bothered to show up - so why not let them roll?

Those who only needed that item, I highly doubt will ever come back again after getting it. If people are there, let them roll, they're doing equal amount of helping as is everyone else is.

A few things:

1. DST Arguments will NOT be heard on Sunday...if you want to discuss it...do it NOW.

2. 33 people signed up with 25 spots to give. Once we have our 25, I'll then make a list of those people who SIGNED UP B4 SUNDAY so that we can rotate you folks in next week.

3. Please Please Please for my sanity when signing up for a mALT 25 man, enter the name of the toon you are wanting to bring. If you put your main's name in...that's who I'm inviting, and if you aren't online...oh well...someone else get's ur spot...I'm not tracking you down on your alt, especially if you have a bunch o' 70s. (rule into effect next week...lol)

With that out of the way let's talk DST.

Unless someone has a phenomenal reason why I shouldn't do this, I now am officially announcing the rules for DST.

[Dragonspine Trophy] Will be the ONLY piece of loot in a mALT Gruul/Mag that we will call the exception to the rule. DST will have a priority rule on it. It will go to a MAIN CORE RAIDER first, then to main sorta core/trying to be core raiders second, then alts. When I say main core I mean you are a huge asset to Hamfist/LF1M, you rarely miss a raid and are part of the core team that makes up one of these 2 raids. This piece of loot is a VERY SMALL price to pay for a great amount of fun, gear, and loot for our alts.

Main Core Raiders 1st Priority: Shihli, Derchelon, Pulga, Gares
Main Raiders Less Core 2nd Priority: Mavandon

If you are a main interested in the DST and I didn't put you on the list, this is because you haven't said shit in this thread...lol I can adjust as necessary, but this is a start.

A little information about the mAlt raid banner. mAlt raids under the idea that alts and mains are equal, there is no loot priority (save for one item being discussed above). If you'd like to bring a main, you're more than welcome to! If you'd like to bring an alt, maybe a class you dont play very often, feel free to do that as well. Its up to you (and what aidin has room for!) I know some of our other healers like to swap over to a dps toon, just for a change in pace, and some of our dps have healy alts.

All in all, they are a lot of fun.

To this day, that is the sole reason that endgame guilds continue to farm Gruul's Lair.

Shin2 makes a very valid point...1 piece of gear is a VERY small sacrifice to make for TONS of other gear to go to new 70's and alts.

Honestly I think whats being forgoten here is the alt's new 70's are getting a free ride though content. Hell I got a free ride through kara and some ZA from Dufe, Shihli, Jas and others. I can say now that any contributions I make to, and any gear I recive through LF1M was due to the generosity of these people. They gave me the oppurtinty by taking me along through this stuff.

I think you mentioned that these mains should come help every mALT and while that would be nice, what of the alternate? If an alt wins DST are you going make that persons main help the alt of the main who lost to gear up? How can a fresh 70 even help that person in the same way the raiding main is helping him?

I am in no way calling anyone out but using these people as an example, could morcias alt bredwilly tank gruul for kyboshes alt whoeever next week and reach the same ammount of success? Essentialy I see it as the Raiding mains are asking for one thing in return for carrying the fresh 70's and alts through content they probably shouldnt even be in.

The problem Lepp with more "fun runs" means ppl being locked.  Not sure how many mALT cancellations you were there for when we couldn't get 25 ppl to rock with us.

The entire guild as a whole isn't intrested in Gruul/Mag...just enough for one full raid.

However your opinion has been noted.  However, seeing as the DST isn't even something that you would have a possibilty of getting, I'd like to hear from regular mALTers who DO have a chance of getting DST ...like my rogue...or barqz's hunter etc.

And for the record...I'm not changing my raid name for one piece of gear

I think you may have missed the tongue-in-cheek or sarcasm of my remarks about my rogue... I can be more obvious... I raid as a resto druid when I am not on Lepp. The only thing I do with porter is mine, smelt, fish and cook... hard to roll on something as a rogue when I raid as a healer.

I only state my opinion because I was asked by the leader of the raid... who is Aidin. My point of view rarely has anything to do with what will benefit me more... although it is a bias that is hard to over come and is very common in WoW.

Let me restate my opinion so that it is more clear. Why don't we have more guild fun runs instead of mALT if there is gear in the lower raids that people want on their main? mALT should be what it was intended for.

I hope this clearifies it. If the rule changes for this one item, I really don't care... I am either a mage or a resto druid. It is Aidin's raid, and I have fun hanging out with everyone... even Shihli.

mAlt should stay mAlt. If we need more guild fun runs where raid loot rules apply then so be it... I have 3 70s that would love to attend. More runs = less complaining that people were left out and more chances that the DST will drop.

Why have mAlt if normal loot rules apply... even if for one item?

Guilt trips/loot whining take any joy that someone would get by passing on loot so that a main can have it. Alts are now obligated to pass so they don't feel like the guild will be pissed at them or tagged as the guild douche.

How can being named after anything that cleans so well be bad?

I would roll for the [Dragonspine Trophy] only because I would feel that passing is expected and not appreciated... is that emo? I just like going against peer pressure and making people whine more...

If we change the rules we should change the name.
