Usefull Tree Macros
Ardea — Fri, 05/09/2008 - 19:06
This is a small list of Macros I use in conjunction with Grid. I am not even close to a macro expert so if you know any other useful macros or better ways than I have listed feel free to post them... you will notice that the macros are almost identical.
I love mouse over casting with Grid because that way I do not have to stop and select a target to cast. I can continually cast. Normally I keep the boss targetted so I can watch who he is targeting... and throw up a random insect swam.
Note: There are two ways to use an item's special ability in a macro.
1. To type out the inventory slot ID. ex: /use 13 (this will "use" or activate the ability of your first trinket. See below for a list of Slot IDs).
2. To type out the name of the item. /use Ribbon of Sacrifice (I perfer this method because then it will not matter what slot the item is in... handy if you swap your gear around... The downside is if you replace the item you then need to change your macro).
0 = ammo
1 = head
2 = neck
3 = shoulder
4 = shirt
5 = chest
6 = belt
7 = legs
8 = feet
9 = wrist
10 = gloves
11 = finger 1
12 = finger 2
13 = trinket 1
14 = trinket 2
15 = back
16 = main hand
17 = off hand
18 = ranged
19 = tabard
Lifbloom: My most used spell... I am spamming this on any square that gets a red dot in the top lefthand corner as well as keeping full stacks (LBx3) on the tanks.
/use Lower City Prayerbook
/cast [target=mouseover] lifebloom
Regrowth: My second favorite spell... I think I use this too much but there is something satisfying about seeing a big (3-4k) heal then smaller ticks.
/use Ribbon of Sacrifice
/cast [target=mouseover] regrowth
Rejuvenation: I neglect this spell too much.
/cast [target=mouseover] Rejuvenation
Oh-Crap tank is about to Die!! This is really the only situation I use Healing Touch... unless I am looking bad on the meters and there is no chance that the tank's health is going to go *Poof*
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast [target=mouseover] Healing Touch
DeCurse: More handy for Mages (different spell name)... but it helps to have this just in case.
/cast [target=mouseover] Remove Curse
I am really interested to see what other people use.

Bumping for more input....

mouseover macros are hella
Nhia (not verified) — Mon, 05/12/2008 - 09:09mouseover macros are hella good for using them w/ Grid. just mouse over and hit keybind. Takes off 0.6 seconds of reaction time.
Also, you can keep a current target...like a tank. then mouseover heal everyone else.
Vossa, I would love to see
Ardea — Mon, 05/12/2008 - 07:01Vossa, I would love to see the other macros. I am not very creative so I like to see what other people do.
Here is my main macro set
Vossa — Sat, 05/10/2008 - 08:18Here is my main macro set up,
My button number 1 is NS Healing touch:
#showtooltip Healing Touch(Rank 13)
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast Healing Touch(Rank 13)
My button number 2 is Regrowth along with all my trinkets, also this macro will keep it from saying "this is spell is not ready yet" when the macro is not ready for use, it goes as follows:
#showtooltip Regrowth(Rank 9)
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/use Tome of Diabolic Remedy
/use Essence of the Martyr
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast Regrowth(Rank 9)
and where it says my trinkets you can replace it with your trinkets or just /use 13,14
My 3rd button is rejuv:
#showtooltip Rejuvenation(Rank 13)
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/use Tome of Diabolic Remedy
/use Essence of the Martyr
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast Rejuvenation(Rank 13)
4th button is LB:
#showtooltip Lifebloom(Rank 1)
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/use Tome of Diabolic Remedy
/use Essence of the Martyr
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast Lifebloom(Rank 1)
I have never really understood the whole /cast [target=mouseover] i usually just click on the person on grid. but thats just a list of my macros I have a few others just let me know if you want me to post those also.
DROODS FOR LIFE!
