See, he's got bad form on that one. What happens when he post's an app to another guild like he did here? I understand the desire to apply to multiple guilds based on expectations, guild structure, etc, but burning bridges just isn't the way to go.
The more bridges you burn now that we're post AoC, the fewer raid opprotunies will be crossing his path. With that kind of attitude to a guild that was at least giving him a chance tells me he may be on the 'BLIZZ PLZ TRNFER ME' list within the next year.
Bad form all around. Just pure bad form.
You know ness, your chicken enough in RL, you should try a respec. Might fit you. hehe (What!?!? You thought I would be serious for an entire post!?!? Get REAL!)

You went from "Putting the Boom in Boomkin" to "Putting the Douche in Douchebag":
From the Paradign forums:
"I have applied

with personality issues. It seems to come from there one of there raid

help make your guild stronger. "
I'm sorry they ended up with you. I'm glad our considerations for your ginvite ended the moment you realized you had to put forward real effort to get in.
And to think, I almost considered Balance as viable....
Thank you. Im still up for running instances and stuff with you guys if you need me. I would like to get to know you all better. So give me a shout if you want to run something and have some fun.
Let's get you into any Karazhan's over the weekend as well as the mAlt Gruul and Mag run on Sunday. I'd love to see if a boomkin is viable in this day and age.
My agility with typical raid buffs is up to 1050-1066 nowadays. If I chowed agility food, agility scrolls, and agility elixirs every raid it'd probably start getting near 1200.
26 dps is merely what you get from 360 attack power, divided by 14 to give "tooltip" dps. Tooltip dps assumes only autoattacks and no crits.
So yeah, it's a conservative estimate. If 90dps to you is the same to everyone else, then I provide the raid with 990 to 1260 additional dps, which translates into an equivalent of 13860 to 17640 raw attack power (!)
A boomkin is not a primary dps class (primary dps classes defined, at least by me, as rogue, hunter, warlock, mage - a class whose only role in any setting is to dps), so you should not be as worried about YOUR dps as you should be worried about YOUR CONTRIBUTION to the raid, as a support dps class (defined, at least by me, as shadowpriest, druid, enh/ele shaman, warrior (debateable), ret pally). A moonkin is not brought into a raid as a mage/warlock replacement, they are brought into a raid to support their casters *and* do some damage while they're at it.
For instance, on any given night I do way less damage than Luminaire. He's a raw, pure dps build, whereas my build (survival) is meant as a support dps. So while my personal numbers don't compare to his, I provide *the raid* with an additional 360+ attack power by way of Expose Weakness and Imp. Hunter's Mark.
Therefore, I give all of our rogues, feral druids, enhancement shamen, all hunters, all hunter pets, all warriors, and ret paladins a significant dps boost (no less than 26 dps). On a given night, Hamfist has anywhere from 11 to 14 individual toons and pets a 26 dps boost, which - if attributed to me - is a "personal" dps boost of 286 to 364 dps. That's not including special attacks or crits, either.
So yeah, "your" dps might drop, but everyone else's goes up. That's why enhancement shamen (which have shit for gear support in endgame) are still extremely potent and sought-after raiders - they provide imp. strength, imp. windfury, and Unleashed Rage for their group, which (in my opinion) more than makes up for any lack of personal dps.
"Therefore, I give all of our rogues, feral druids, enhancement shamen,
all hunters, all hunter pets, all warriors, and ret paladins a
significant dps boost (no less than 26 dps). "
You underestimate yourself. You give me 90 dps. <3
I wasnt aware of the changes no rouge has ever said anything about it. In that case imp FF would be worth putting points into thats really to easy. And damn they are hating on rogues making it so hard to max ur hit cap. It would slightly hurt my dps but if you bring that many melee it would be far worth it I agree.
While yes, most of us are hit-capped (or should be depending on class) Almost everyone can still benefit from the +3% hit. It allows everyone to itemize down their hit for other DPS stats, and for classes like Fury Warriors, Rogues, and Enhancement Shaman, its just straight up extra DPS. Having a Moonkin NOT spec into Imp Faerie fire is like a Survival Hunter NOT spec into Expose Weakness. Yeah, you'll bring decent DPS even without it, but the rest of the raid suffers.
Yes, you'll still bring Moonkin Aura. The problem is that Imp Faerie fire helps everyone in raid, and Moonkin Aura only helps 4 other people than yourself.
Your hit should be maxed at this level in the game. And It doesnot stack with a feral druids. So it's kind of a waste and is not used buy most end game raiding balance druids. But liek I said if you need it changed for the group to easy.
Your info is months old. With the hit cap at 363 for a typical rogue nowadays (old cap was 308), there's no practical way to reach that cap without being in full Sunwell gear while gemming for full out hit. And even then, no one should be purposely trying to reach that cap since it's not a magic number that gives you better dps.
Though let's play with numbers. Imp Faerie Fire would give me a 50 dps increase. This number would most likely be similar with other rogues, and possibly dual wield warriors and enhancement shamans. As for the hunters/ferals/2H warriors/ret pallies who like to play at their hit cap, the option exists to switch out gear if this Imp Faerie Fire debuff exists.
We do sometimes get heavy with physical dps, 9ish or so. That makes the debuff upwards of a 400-500 raid dps increase if we have people work around it. If not and it's just dual wielders benefiting, it's still on the upwards of 200-300 raid dps increase.
You almost definitely have a spot in our 25 man runs this weekend. Get with Grasen and Aidinselene to make sure they know you're coming. You'll be a little threat limited, but make sure you absolutely nuke your hardest. I really want to see how you do.
Thanks for the props guys. I was an officer in Seven Sorrows so I pretty much could have given myself something if I wanted it. I had the time to gear myself so I did it and I ran 25 to have fun and get other people gear. I guess karma has been good to me.
I'm actually very impressed with this app. Seems like a nice family guy from his original application. Then I went to his armory page, and I was pretty blown away. I don't know many clothies that have managed to rack up over 1.2K spell dmg w/o being a 25 man raider; yet you've managed to do this while maintaining an ALL-LEATHER dps set! Very impressive. You've obviously put in a LOT of work to get your gear to be the best it can be, given with what you're working with. Everything has the highest quality modifications, and you've been gemming with mostly purple gems too. You really do take this seriously.
Okay so that being said, spots in raid are hard won to begin with, but there is admittedly a biased when it comes to invite a boomkin to a raid. Most of the time it boils down to the fact that they do not do enough dps to make it worth it. Can you step up and show us differently?
I think if you can manage to get into the top 8-10 dps we may have something to talk about. And I say top 8-10 because I generally think a newer person is going to do a little less dps than they might do once they become more familiar with their raid group, etc.
Let's give this guy a shot to show his stuff. Go go wws parses!
It doesnt matter Ill still stick around, you guys seem like a good bunch. If anyone needs me for anything let me know. And thanks for the runs for those who did get to know me. I'll help you guys out anytime.
