He did do a very good job for never going to OS before and having to respec on the fly after we thought he was already holy specced. Then when we asked him to dps on his dk he had no problem with that. He is very versatile having the two toons for melee dps, ranged dps and heals. I would grab him in a heartbeat if we have a slot open.

Its been a good weekend for raiding! Started 25 man Naxx with Earls of Desmond again Fri night. They needed ranged dps so I respecced back to shadow. Started on Patch as a dps check, and one-shotted him. Then moved to Instructor for a heals check, and 2 shotted him. cleared the DK wing, then the spider wing, and then the plague wing, and called it for the night. Sat morn I managed to grab a spot in a pug 10 man Naxx. We cleared it, but it took most of the day. Had some trouble with Grob, and a few of the other bosses, (though it seemed to be on the ones that were easier, cuz we one shotted Thad and Gluth) as several of the people were VERY new to Naxx. A couple hrs after finishing the 10 man, I got back together with EoD to finish the 25 man, however we were down several of the people from Fri night and had to pug replacements. We struggled with both Grob and Gluth, though they both went down eventually. And again, after one wipe on Thad, they decided to call it. I made out like a bandit on both runs picking up 3 upgrades from each run, though 4/6 were for my shadow set. Can't wait for the Sarth run today!

I pugged VoA 25 for the second time, this time as heals, and again, the Stonewatcher went down like a toddler, not a single tombstone.

Picked Naxx 25 back up, with EoD, last night after work. This time they were down a couple of the healers we had had last time, so I volunteered to respec, I was planning on respeccing directly after we were finished anyway so it was good timing. We started right where we had left off, at Loatheb, and downed him on the first shot. The group I was assigned to heal had an OT, 2 melee dps, and a ranged dps in it and was the only group that didn't have anyone dead at the end of the fight. We then went on to the military quarter, cleared our way to Resuvious, and promptly got our heads stomped. Unfortunately, the 2 priests that we had for MCing, myself and Kordi, were both healers and that took nearly half of our heals out of the fight. We tried several more times, but it turned out to be an insurmountable obstacle. We then moved on to Patch, wiped once because not everyone was clear on the initial plan, and the frustrations of the evening got to be too much for several of the raiders, and it was called. Not necessarily a very productive evening for the raid, but I didn't mind too much because I got to help down one more boss, and get another "wing cleared" achievement, and I was able to listen to strat and see it implemented, whether it worked or not, on two more bosses.

Sorry about the mix-up, wasn't quite sure who I was raiding with, and pretty much didn't care since a 25 man spot is a 25 man spot at this point. Wasn't aware that you guys had beef with Bloodfaith, I haven't had any real contact with them so I don't have an opinion on 'em. I heard their name in passing in the raid chat and figured that was who I was running with.

I am less applying to heal, and more applying to be Gumby, but your application doesn't seem to have that option in the drop down box. I will fill whatever position you need me to. I enjoy both roles, and don't have a favorite between them. You guys seem to need healers more than anything else, so after we finish Naxx on Sunday I will respec back to heals, and we can go from there.

It wasnt blood faith we raided with it was Earls of Desmond. He was mistaken. As for why he would show his ranking for dmg when he wants to heal? I would have to say he could be very useful in either if needed. We didnt need a holy priest last night we needed a shadow and he filled the spot wonderfully! Also come 3.1 he will be able to dual spec between the two much easier.

I think it also shows he knows his mechanics. With the gear he had on he doesnt have much SP but he knows what to use and when to use it which makes it even better. He also was able to grab 2 or 3 good 25 man pieces to wear so it was a good night for him in all respects. I was not so lucky. Not one good Boomkin piece dropped at all :( oh well there is always next time! Oh and I was 7th in dmg but 2nd in dps ;p

I am glad to see all of the comments on my app, including Moriella's. He is right on most, if not all of those points. I am not ready to be a main raider, both in gear and experience. I've had several periods of absence. I am currently specced shadow, when my app says I am applying as a healer. I have two 80 level characters, and I have spent more time (at least since WotLK dropped) on my DK. I have not been on /dfrecruit. I also have not had the opportunity to group or raid with very many people in the guild yet.

However, a great many of those comments hold very little weight, since he doesn't seem to have read all of my application, or perhaps he misread some of it.

(1) I am not applying to be a main raider, I know what I am capable of in gear, experience, and available time. I applied as someone to fill holes when you need me and my varied schedule permits.

(2) My absences have been explained, I have obligations on me by Uncle Sam, and sometimes in the flurry of activity to get ready for them I am not able to contact everyone I would like to. Sometimes I am given very little forewarning as to when they are going to be. Uncle Sam pays some of the bills and there are serious consequences if I do not fulfill my obligations, so he gets to be first on my priority list regardless of how much I enjoy playing WoW.

(3) I specced myself shadow to grind my priest faster. He was holy for quite a while so that I would be able to heal instances for my friends, but he began to fall behind both because of my interest in my DK, and because grinding holy is abominably slow. So when he fell too far behind to be of use to my friends I respecced shadow and did it the quick way. Moriella also seems to have overlooked the fact that while the app says healing I made it clear that I was comfortable in whatever role that the guild needed me for, whether it be shadow or heals. I pride myself on my flexibility and my ability to fit myself to whatever situation presents itself rather than being a one trick pony.

(4) Healanoid has been my main since I started on the server. I have 9 toons on the server most of them low level side projects. I, like almost every other person who plays WoW for any serious length of time, got a little bored with my main, and decided to try something else. I have had a great deal of fun playing Plaguenoid, and look forward to playing him for quite a while longer, but regardless of where their relative levels may have been in the past, Healanoid is my main and will remain so. So I am not applying with an alt, I am bringing you my main.

(5) I have not been on /dfrecruit. This one is completely true as I have had no knowledge that the channel existed. I have bounced around on the forums a bit leaving a comment here and there, but I seem to have missed the spot that mentioned that channel.  Healanoid, Plaguenoid, and Mulenoid (my bank toon) are all now connected to the channel so that regardless of what I am doing I can have an ear out for opportunities for groups/raids.  Which brings me to my last point...

(6) I have grouped/raided with several people in the guild, and those that have grouped with me have offered nothing but praise and encouragement. A couple of them are my friends in real life, but as many did not know me until I showed up in the same group, and the comments from both groups have been the same. So while I may not currently be well known to the guild as a whole, I have impressed those that have encountered me. Now that I am a "fresh paint priest", and am at a level to complete heroics and raids I look forward to doing so with members of Downfall, and in the process showing that I too deserve to be a member of Downfall.

oh and his absence was noted as he is in the military and was on his annual training and didnt know he needed to check in ahead of time seeing as he wasnt even in the guild yet I can understand why he wouldnt know.

From the looks of the thread, looks like you held his hand and geared him up once before in Kara.  Then he promptly re rolled DK

Why do it again
