Glyphs

Does anyone know how the glyph mechanics work? Can you only use 1 glyph per talent tree? Is it 1 glyph per talent/ability? (if so, I can imagine things getting a little rediculous).

Wolfie — Tue, 09/30/2008 - 09:53Thank you Shili. You are always a fountain of WoW knoledge....always. LoL. The minor ones sound really cool though. Tauren catform really needs new skin options (or at the very least give female taurens a female lion form) and nightelves could use a new bear skin IMO.

That said ...
Everyone gets 6 glyph slots (3 major, 3 minor). Minor glyphs can only go into minor glyph slots, and major glyphs can only go into major glyph slots. Minor glyphs are typically cosmetic or minor improvements (new skin for Druid's cat form, GotW costs no reagents or lasts 30 minutes longer, etc). Major glyphs are typically more significant improvements (Fireball does X more damage, a DK's ghoul gains 20% more strength, etc).
In essence, glyphs work like gem sockets - but instead of being on your gear, they are on *your character*. Replacing a glyph destroys the old one.
