Thanksgiving weekend

This weekend is Thanksgiving, at least it is here in Canada. I'll be away Saturday and Sunday eating turkey and other delectibles with hubby's family and arguing politics (our national vote is Tuesday after Thanksgiving this year...go vote) and hearing all the family gossip I've missed in the last few months. Since its that time to think of blessings received I include; meeting new people in this guild, playing a game I love, and hearing Shihli tell a joke that was funny. Also there are many real life things I include that would bore you all to tears so I'll keep them to myself and wish you and your families the joy and love of the season and lots of turkey and pumpkin pie.

jaibyrd — Fri, 10/10/2008 - 10:53Wow I even know what fried turkey is...for some reason it's a fad up here to deep fry turkeys. However the last guy who invited us over for one managed to catch his garage on fire where he was deep frying and um...well it sorta put a damper on the fried turkey craze around here. The thing I like to eat the most (well besides the broccoli roasted w/ almonds) is the sweetpotato with marshmallows on top. I think that has got to be the most amazing taste and I only make it for thanksgiving, so it's pretty special.
