Scrap the DK and stick with

The reason I ask is because if you are wiping on a character you don't love to play ("what ever the guild needs") then you will get burnt out and the game will stop being fun... it starts toi get old after over 100 wipes.
My advice is to pick the class you like the best, declare it as your main and come kill some stuff with us. Comments: Darth came with us last night and did an incredible job as a tree. I feel he definately pulled his weight. I look forward to seeing more... now I need to fix my grid so it only shows timers for my HoTs ;)
Druid by a Mile
Darthon — Wed, 04/22/2009 - 11:46My Druid is my main without a doubt. I have a dk and a lock and they do not even come close to being my favorite. I tanked on my druid up until 2 months into WOTLK and decided that I wanted to go Boomkin. I switched to healing out of needs of the raids I was in and really liked it. Boomkin is great too, but I like the feeling of accomplishment when you see you little squares get all filed back up. Besides you have to be a certain kind of messed up to play a druid. Thank you for the note.

I can say what my little girls gonna do to my playtime yet because my computer was down for a week! lol
But yes. Way to many kids. Gamers shouldn't have more kids than could 4-man a heroic with their spouse........ hehe

I trained mine to farm gold
Darthon — Tue, 04/21/2009 - 07:13I have 3 with one one the way. The crazy part is that my youngest is 9....and I will have a new born. I think I might need my head examined. The 11 and 9 year olds both play and I taught them how to farm for gold. Prime calls them my chinese gold farmers. My 9 year old is actually a pretty good player. He has lead 10 man Nax, he says his mic is broken when he plays. Never an issue for him cause he likes to do it early Saturday morning when everyone from Singapore is on so there is not much talking in vent anyways. What a scam. My favorite is when he comes out and complains about the people that refuse to follow direction.

Forcing me to grind out a shaman. The best part is we play together and I am considered cool with the 9 year old crowd. Funniest thing was when I 1st went Boomkin on my druid he told me I spec'd all wrong. After a 30 minute discussion I proved him wrong.

If Hafner had hit that grand slam they would have tied the record for the biggest defeat ever in pro baseball. The Cavs beat the Pistons by 18 that same day too.

Darthon — Mon, 04/20/2009 - 10:30I should have said this before, but now is as good a time as any. Although Raiding is a lot of fun, it is not the only aspect of the game. I wanted to say that after going to a few different raids with Downfall it is apparent that the relationships within the guild are very strong and everyone is social and likes to have fun. A perfect example of this is last week I had the opportunity to come to the Salmon Raid in Ulduar and everyone was super excited at the new content, and you could hear the excitment over vent. That is the type of community that I want to be a part of. A bunch of people that like to have fun and accomplish in game objectives. I could not count how many times I heard "Lets have some fun and clear this". Point being, Have fun 1st. There was no complaining or crying when we wiped, we just dusted ourselves off and took another crack at it. This is a guild that is built on relationships that happens to have success at raiding. This is a guild that is built around people that like the game and that like to talk about it. Pretty awesome.
Druid - Heals Available for Raids

Committed and looking for advice
Darthon — Mon, 04/13/2009 - 06:51I am looking for advice on keeping my app alive and taking the right steps to get invited to Downfall. With that said here is what I am doing, I would love some feedback on what additional steps I need to take.
1) Staying active here on the site.
2) Waiting in the Dfrecruit channel.
3) Being on and ready to go for the Sal'mon Raid (even if I do not get asked I am cool with that, ready regardless)
4) Signing up for the Saturday raid and being on ready to go.
5) Being available for any heroic achievement groups wanting to Test drive me.
6) Being extremely Flexible for guild needs (Respec, sit, come in late to raids, farm mats, etc.)
7) Willing to show that I am a good fit with my personality and play style.
8) Having the desire to have "Downfall" floating above my little pixel head (I look at it like an in game achievement)
Note, I would like to bring all my toons here, Darthon - Druid, Darkthon - DK, Knomar - Lock. Thanks agian for the feed back.
You're heading in the exact

Basically, the only thing I could suggest is to make sure that you're on the bleeding edge of your class('s) theorycraft, rotations, macros, mods and performance. Being able to walk in and perform close to your max dps for your gear says you're doing your homework. Being far from your max (on, say, Patch) says we'd have to spend a lot of time teaching you.
Also, if your druid heals, get Grid, figure out what all the dots mean and learn to heal people BEFORE they take damage.
Saturday Raid

The really cool thing was being able to raid with even more members from Downfall. I hope that I am doing the right things to continue the progression of my guild app. Once again I had fun and the people make it that much better.

Also a Lock that I am gearing up now that I would be willing to Bring to Downfall. I am willing to spec to whatever the raid needs. I am open to any opportunity that would allow me to become a Downfall Member. I am a team player and will do whatever it takes to benefit the guild. Even if it means sitting until the time is right.
