Hey guys, I've just done a massive overhaul to my UI and would like to get some advice from you guys as to what you think i can improve or do without
Below is my raid UI, with DBM and stuff

Try this, get rid of
Alprazalam — Fri, 08/21/2009 - 18:58Try this, get rid of recount. Use the slash command to open it up and look at it after bosses, and then you can resize your grid to 25 man and place it in Recount's place. It makes it small, but the only time mages need to look at grid is for decursing, and know to find out who fails at avoiding fire. Also, Recount isn't NECESSARY during a boss fight......
One thing I do to avoid having to use shift + commands is using my F1 - F8 buttons as well as my 1-8 buttons for spells. I just have a problem pressing shift and hitting a number. My left hand can't do it properly, which means I have to take my hand off my mouse. I don't like taking my hand off my mouse =/ Just something to think about.
One last thing, if you are using fubar, theres a mod called portalfu. All of your teleport/portal spells can be put on a small icon in ur fubar, and when u right click it, ur ports are on a drop down menu. It is really neat, but IDK if it works with other bar mods like chocolate and what not.
It looks alot better then mine does, but mine is clutter cause I have to have everyspell I can cast on a bar, just incase something happens and I need it. BTW, ur lack of fireblast and Icelance not being on ur bars disturb me......

G - I tried to put player/target/focus frames lower down in my UI but was never able to get comfortable with it. I don't know what it is.

garreth — Thu, 08/20/2009 - 15:10Yarr, set the Omen background to transparent and let your art show through. Use a bagmod like ArkInventory (<3 so much) and then bind it's key to "B" so you can get rid your bag icon. Take all your menu buttons (character, quests, etc) and replace them with the fubar mod "micromenufu" (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4738.html#comments). You'll need to tweak the code a bit to get it to work, see the comments. Also, set Grid to disappear while soloing (under layout) and get rid of the grid "tab" that sticks to the Grid frame. Set your various Grid layouts so it expands and contracts depending on what type of raid you're in. You may want to consider taking those two Xperl frames (player and target) and move them down front and center with your Quartz slightly above or below them. Maybe take some inspiration from my mage UI:
My castbar shows up in the center, below my player and target frames. The "Human Commoner" box in the middle of the screen is my mouseover tooltip mod, Cowtip.

Aidin — Thu, 08/20/2009 - 14:541. Why do you like grid and your target frames up so high to the left? I personally like them down right around my feet...so I can see what's happening under my feet AND grid AND my target all in a nice little cluster.
2. The lack of centering would drive me crazy...but that's just me. (<3 Sexyminimap!)

I'd change the default omen background(i swear no one ever changes it) so it fits the theme a little better
the micromenu, does it really need to be that big?(as well as the bag bar, why not bind the show all bags key)
your portals & professions bar(s) could probably be put on Autohide(to show on mouseover)
Pretty clean overall other than that but it's also not a raid screenie

I know right!! I change mine to the black with a white border to match my bt4 and eepanels. That parchment is hideous! lol
