Lorb needs computer/login help!!!

For the last 2 days, everytime I try to log in, as soon as I put in my password and hit enter key the screen freezes for about 5 seconds and then I get "you have been disconnected from the server" I've tried the repair wow tool with no luck and have called tech support all day only to hear "we're very busy so call back later" recording. I'm open for any suggestions, just keep in mine there is not a bigger computer noob so if you can help please be specific. thx lorb

just curious..have you tried logging from another computer?

Ardea — Thu, 12/10/2009 - 06:48My initial guess would be that this video or RAM related. Since this is happening before the character screen I do not think it has anything to do with mods of the WTF folder...
What version of Windows are you running (XP, Vista, or 7)? How much RAM? Video Card?
Before logging in try clicking on the Options button (right side of the login screen) > Video >
- Resolution: 800x600 and the Lowest multisampling possible
- Effects: move all the sliders as Low as possible and uncheck everything.
This isn't very raidable but it will give us a clue.
