I Wanna Purge!
saedo — Tue, 02/26/2008 - 17:46
So I stepped into a pug WSG today. It so happened to be a Gul'dan premade. Pretty much a lost cause with half the alliance giving up from the start by afk'ing. Oh well, I still stick around the play just to drag out and waste a premade's time. lol
Anyways, more to the point of the story. So they got a druid flag carrier, prob resto, prob well geared. Our side managed to get the flag and I guess hide it for a while. I found him alone and just started whacking on him.
The thing is, I couldn't take him down. With abaolish poisons, I couldn't stack wound on him, and then HoTs basically kept him up. I know I'm not that pvp geared or spec'd, and really don't pvp much, but damn, I must of beat on him for like 2-3 mins solo and couldn't bring him down. lol Wished I could've done something about those damn HoTs!
Well in the end, of course they got the flag back and scored. I checked my recount and actually did almost 90K worth of damage on him! lol

I remember almost two years
Karli — Thu, 02/28/2008 - 10:48I remember almost two years ago being level 60 or close to it in EPL and bumming around with a few Downies (I wanna say Glowy and Janelle?). We ran into this druid named Spooner, and he was just wasting ALL of us.
Mind you, at this time I was still a super-noob mage; I had some ridiculous spec I'm sure and my gear was likely utter crap. I also had no idea how a lot of class mechanics worked. I remember standing on top of a hill with horde npcs in SW EPL and trying to kill him... I was polymorphing him over and over and I could not for the life of me figure out how it kept breaking. I was infuriated! It wasn't for months that I learned about the whole shapeshifting immunity thing. I think at some point after he figured how utterly noob-ish I was that he would actually let the poly go off and then break it maybe a second before I finished casting a pyroblast (yes, a pyroblast) at him before he'd just run inside the building w/ the horde npcs and be out of LoS.
I saw Spooner over the summer and killed him about three times using a combo of nukes, counterspells, and spellsteals. God it felt good.
On my druid as full resto
starstalker — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 12:14On my druid as full resto and 3/3 vindicator 2/5 vengeful, I walked in tree form backwards from the mine in AB all the way to the BS with 2 rogues beating on me. Yes, I had no hope of killing them, but I wasn't going to let them kill me either. I'll let my teammates at the BS do that. =)
I love it.

Aidin — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 12:01...off druid topic...but on Gul'dan...

Vossa — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 12:00Yea nothing can kill me in pvp, i have no resil and still nothing can kill me! its amazing druids are the most op pvp healers to bad thats only what were op about.
Yeah the hots are killer. In
Ardea — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 11:54Yeah the hots are killer. In a BG this morning Ardea (resto) and a rogue were against a druid (feral) and rogue combo. WIth Ardea as resto it was easy to keep my rogue up. After seeing the rogue's life remain solid they came for me. I had both of them on Ardea as rogue killed them... slowly. lol the fight took about 5 to 10 mins. and I had plenty of mana to keep going.
I will be sad when lifebloom is nerfed.
Ha, so this pretty much
saedo — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 02:11Ha, so this pretty much happened to me now. So I do some 2v2s with a friend, a priest, pretty much newly 70 with greens so in the 1560s bracket. Today after raid we faced off against the lock / resto-balance druid. The lock dies, my partner dies, then the next 14 mins were spent running around the arena. lol
Basically the druid just didn't have the power to kill me, though I guess could've widdled me down eventually. And I just didn't have the power to chase him down and kill him in between CDs. Spent 14 mins running around pillars, he got in a few MF. There was drinking and bandaging. Then more running.
But yea, eventually, got him down, when all CDs used and he thought he could've got away with the travel form.
A good druid should never
Ewiges — Tue, 02/26/2008 - 19:05A good druid should never die from a rogue. When I used to have a 1950 arena team season one it took me 40 minutes to kill a druid. (Just me and him, both our partners quickly died).
