With Cata looming it;s time to start thinging about rated bg team. I plan to head one of these up and will set a schedule once main raid schedules are set, I will work around the 25 man raid times. In cata the focus will be off arenas and on rated bg's
We will run 1-2 nights a week (MINIMUM) and will run on a scheduled time just like a raid.
What I need from yall is to know who wants in on this team. It will likely be a 15 man team,
So Those of yall who want in, post which char you want to bring to this team, as well as spec.
People interested (this is a list to help me keep track not a list of who is on the teamm I fully expect to have more than I can take, if we have enough we can easially form a second team for those who cant do the schedule as well as those who just unfortunetally get left off my team. I will chose a leader from this list for a second team.)

The bg's pretty simple. But it couldn't hurt to find things we are lacking in. And find new strategies.

A decent vid. Talks about strategy and pairing your numbers. It's most likely out of date. But it still holds the issues we can work on. Knowing your numbers, Sun tzu standard strategies with numbers. Alot of stuff we've already figured out but it does not hurt to review and learn.

Basically an overview of the map. Shows where everything is. Talks about chokepoints, which can be very helpful when we are attacking or even defending. It couldn't hurt to say have a mage throw a ring of frost on a chokepoint before Lighthouse or stick a grounding totem in or near the water at Waterworks.

Two strats come from the thinking here. Even though it's horde. We have run into an issue on some teams where we have 2 at Lighthouse who are attacked. And then we have a horde push at Waterworks. I'm probably most at fault here because when you call for healers at LH I'm the first to leave Waterworks if it looks like we will cap it. In the case that horde is trying this strategy it wouldn't hurt to win Waterworks. Keep 2 at Waterworks. Send 3 back to mine and hit Mine with 2 strong dps/cc's and probably a heal.

This is probably my favorite text. Because it's clear and understands what it's doing.
The basics of these strats are to create and exploit disadvantages from the other team as in all strategies. We should place 3 at Lighthouse from the beginning with probably one healer. And send 7 to Waterworks in a blitz. It wouldn't hurt to have 2 of those seven be a shaman and a mage. We need to take Waterworks. We also should get better at usng the area around Waterworks. We have a tremendous advantage with los that is not as available to the horde with buildings and fences and all that we need to use. if they send more than 3 to lighthouse. They can only hold 6 at ww in which case our team can win and either vkear out lighthouse or put pressure at mine since we can always rez at waterworks and defend it or lighthouse before our last stragglers die. We also need to get much better at recognizing the situations we are in. Counting and calling out the number of people we and they have. Classes with abilities in our waya nd where their general team stands. It doesn't hurt to put a hunter at overlook if Lighthouse is not being attacked.

I know I'm not part of the main group; but I'd very much like to see an official team list of Add-Ons to use as far as tanking frames and all that jazz go. Just so we know we're all on the same page when we do end up together.

Learned a few things and had some fun. Sorry to hear the 2nd group didn't work out. Im Frost DK 2h. I didn't even make the alt list but w/e. Ill be glad to fill in wherever needed.

My secondary spec isn't actually made in game yet but it's going to be used purely for PVP so it'll rotate throughout the expansion depending on what best suits me and my potential team mates in a Rated BG environment.
It looks like all the core slots are accounted for so I'm perfectly happy being a stand-in or whatever. I just want to fight alongside my friends again. Old Downfall BG group was some of the most fun I've had in this game.
