Ragnaros Mage stuff

I was Arcane for Rag, and I switched a few points around for imp. Blink. There is alot of movement in the fight, and getting to where you need to be so you can start stacking your AB debuff sooner is better.
P1 I was the one setting off traps. Its easy but sucks cause we have no dots to put up and if the trap is far away, your AB stacks will fall off. Just pop Mage ward and step into it, the second it sets off blink and youll be right back on the ground. Just... make sure you don't blink off the platform.
First Transition phase is just picking a target, nuking it to 50% and switching to another one. No need to kill it right then unless it is right ontop the hammer.
P2 I stayed at max range. our grouping point was right infront of Rag, and imp. blink usually made me the first one there no matter what. One thing to not though is be careful for the fire that may spawn in the back. If you are too far away, you won't have enough time to run forward and you'll have to blink. A few times I had to blink out of it and before I could move away, my seed landed and it was really close to where we stacked. We adjusted to it but it just sucks.
Second Transition is just like first. Watch your debuff and just IB the first one if you get it and if IB is off CD.
P3 is dumb for if we have a meteor on us, but its not too awful bad with Imp. Blink. I tried to stay somewhat near the mid, and when a meteor trageted me, I'd blink farthest away. One thing to note is hitting a meteor with anything will make it change directions. I put Slow up on one and it changed directions. This is also a good thing becasue ABarr has a travel time when apply Slow doesn't. Ice lance is also a good spell to use since it has a fast travel time and costs almost no mana.

Stuff I forgot.
Alprazalam — Thu, 07/14/2011 - 09:54Oh yea, for P1, I found that (since I was setting off traps) I didn't have enough time to blow all my mana at the beginning. Basically I'd do the pull as normal, AB, MI, AB, AB, AP+Mana Gem, AB my heart out until a trap spawned. Sometimes the trap would be close enough to where I'd be able to refresh my AB before going up, but if it wasn't, Immediately after setting the trap off, AP would have ended, and I'm at about 60k mana of my 100k mana pool. So I just go into a mana conservative rotation until AP and mana gem were back up. For me it was right before First Transition phase, so I'd set off a trap using POM AB to keep my stacks up and just blow my CDs the second I landed and start blasting away. Make sure you evocate before the adds come out during the transition though so Mana Adept is really high.
Also, during Phase 2, the embers to not delay spell casting, so you can safely evocate during them without losing ticks. It also helps out the healers alot.
