From Dec 20 to Dec 28 I'll be away from my computer.  Pretty sure it will be hard on me to be away from gaming for that long but it's time for a trek to the sun.  Arizona is the place to be and that's where I'm going lizard looking and perhaps in honour of Atar squirrel eating (shudder)...ok maybe not that.  It's my first time without snow for the winter celebrations and I'm going to enjoy it thoroughly.

now if I wasn't sick I'm sure I could figure out how to make this picture appear here but you will just have to try the link instead.  It's been a wild evening, I wrestled with my internet for a couple of hours and got it to submit to my will to go online only to discover WOW is not there.  I'm not going to wrestle wow, they have many employed people to do that and I'm sure they are all wrestling with the problem right now.  Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow and wow will be working, that's what I'm going to go to sleep hoping for.

This weekend is Thanksgiving, at least it is here in Canada.  I'll be away Saturday and Sunday eating turkey and other delectibles with hubby's family and arguing politics (our national vote is Tuesday after Thanksgiving this year...go vote) and hearing all the family gossip I've missed in the last few months.  Since its that time to think of blessings received I include; meeting new people in this guild, playing a game I love, and hearing Shihli tell a joke that was funny.  Also there are many real life things I include that would bore you all to tears so I'll keep them to myself and wish you and your families the joy and love of the season and lots of turkey and pumpkin pie.

My mom sent me this article this morning and I thought I'd share it here.  Though I'm really not interested in talking politics with anyone I do think it's vital that we all vote.  There is a national election next month here in Canada that was just announced and the election in the USA has been an ongoing process for several years now but is culminating this Autumn as well.

YOU OWE IT TO THESE BRAVE WOMEN TO GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be away from the 21st till the 26th of August.  Time to go enjoy the company of the people I'm related to in a group setting with rules intended to prevent us from killing each other.  Otherwise known as a family reunion.  I am actually looking forward to it. Really.  Last time when I said to my Hubby "never ever let me go to one of those again" I didn't really mean it.  Honest. This time all our parents are to be seperated at all times and not let within 5 metres of each other.  And each of us is responsible at all times for their behaviour...if they get out of hand we must take them away.  For my Irish family its sometimes better if we visit from a bit of a distance.  There is lots of animosity between my mom, Eileen, and her siblings and her siblings with each other as well.  So all the cousins band together to keep the peace.  I'm sure it'll go better this time.  No one is allowed to bring cast iron frying pans for instance.  That's a given after Uncle Allan and Uncle Phillip had the frying pan/whiskey bottle incident.  And we all know there's no way we can prevent Uncle Phillip from leaving the whiskey at home so extra measures are being taken to keep him occupied. 

Well that's probably too much detail just to let you know I'll be away, but as I was saying to someone else recently; I should never be left alone with a keyboard and too much coffee late at night.
