Karazhan
In the event that Hamfist cannot get the man/woman-power to get into killing Council, I would love to run a 10-man Karazhan.
THIS EVENT WILL ONLY OCCUR IF WE CANNOT DO COUNCIL.
Invites start with Tanks and Healers as usual. Then fill in DPS for class balance as usual. Sign ups are not guaranteed spots, however we take notice to who signs up and try to rotate dps'ers week to week.
Just some clarification on how we are now doing invites. In the past it's been first sign ...first draft. This however has put a heavy strain on how long it takes to clear the place. Since majority of the intrest in this run are all in, or have mains in LF1M it's pretty important to most of us to get done as soon as possible so that we can have a break before LF1M.
Turth and I start by inviting the tanks, then the healers. Based on what classes we have in this group. We decide how to fill the gaps. We need interupts, shakles, fears, and all sorts of specifics. If we have Grov, we don't need a lock for Illhoof. If we have 2 drood tanks, we need mages and rogues. With only 5 spots, and Turth and I sometimes taking 1 or 2 of these spots, that only leaves room for 3 more dps. TONS of dps sign up, and I promise you I do my damnedest to rotate those ppl who sign up every week into a rotation somewhere, but we also have to fill the gaps with proper CC for a quick and easy run.
I hope that clears up any confusion that there might be on why you may not be getting invites...but I do notice who signs up every week, so please keep signing up!
See you Saturday at noon as usual!!
After out DF PUG got prince down to 1 percent were going back to rape his face because frankly everyone loves phat lootz. Sign up and come along. it would be great to get the people from tonight but also some of the Haxorz that wernt on when we started.
i dont know how the military time goes into the server time but hopefully around like 4 server time?
Noon Server...incase I jacked up the stupid times again....
I've got 2 brothers that play wow. Tajik, who most of you now know, and my other brother who plays a hunter and a priest. We have another guild (home of my alts) named Band of Brothers that this other brother is the GM of. (maybe a bit cheesy to some of you, but we didn't technically name it) They don't have the size to get consistent Kara runs in, so I'm starting up what hopefully becomes a regular Friday night Kara.
We will be most lacking in heals and tanks, but we'll need a dps or two as well. If you'd be interested in joining on a main or an alt, sign up. (not trying to steal your thunder Aidin, but I think you'll agree there's more than enough demand.) Band of Brothers Chars will take preference since I'm trying to A) run more stuff with both of my brothers and B) help a few of them get a bit more raid gear.
For those that started it On Tuesday, here's the raid finishing it up on Friday night. Those there on Tuesday have first priority on Friday. Remember to bring your best gear.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it...but I'm gonna give it my best shot...Turth should be there...if not, then you folks can definatly make this happen!!!
TBC Raiding Rogue Guide
saedo — Tue, 02/12/2008 - 11:05
This is my guide for the raiding rogue, or those aspiring to be one. It covers everything you'd need to know about specs, gearing, and the dps itself. Hope you find this useful. Feel free to suggest things to add or ask questions. Enjoy.
My sources will be from various people and posts at Elitist Jerks, WoWWiki, and WoW Forums. Pretty much in that order of importance.

SnD - Slice and Dice
Cycle - The order in which you use up your combo points. Often, notation will look like 1s/5r or 5s/5r basically Xs/Yr. What that denotes is to use finisher "s" after X amount of combo points, then finisher "r" after Y amount of combo points, then repeat. In our cases, "s" will be Slice and Dice, "r" will be Rupture, "e" will be Eviserate. Also, an additional notation sometimes is "Xs/Yr cut". What "cut" means is to start the cycle again immediately refreshing SnD even if there is a lot of time left on it. Those type of cycles tend to tell you that your energy will start to cap before SnD wears off and it's not worth using other finishers, so it's better to just refresh SnD beforehand.
Energy Capping - Energy comes at 20 sec per tick (normally) regardless of what you do and caps at 100 (normally). When energy is capped out at 100, additional energy ticks do nothing and are thus wasted.
7 Commandments of Rogue DPS
First off, here's a great set of rules Aldriana at EJ posted for rogues. If nothing else, follow these to maximize your dps.
