Saedo's UI 3.1

Well it's pretty much the same as the last one but with some tweaks.
- X Perl instead of Pitbull. Certainly looks more prettier.
- SBF, with it finally working fully again. Just moved up it there. Though need more buffs to see it really in action. (filters, rows, etc)
- Outfitter. After trying ItemRack, I've come to the conclusion Outfitter is far better. Well to me. Easier to use. Much more intuitive to build outfits. High degree of automation.
- UrbanAchiever, just wanted something to mess with the frames. This was the first thing I found, dunno if anything better is out there.
- SexyMap. Just, sexy. lol You can't see it, but the rings are rotating and so pretty. Minimap buttons and stuff appear on hover, or you can set em to always/never show.

pitbull > xpearl
i may try sexy map that really is pretty
what is the bottom center cet of icons seperated from the rest and what is the function
also i would love to hear some more detail on choosing outfitter over itemrack as i have been using itemrack forever and havent touch outfitter but am always looking for solid upgrades
That's part of Outfitter.
saedo — Sat, 11/01/2008 - 14:10That's part of Outfitter. It's a bar of icons for each of the outfits. Optional thing, can hide it, rely on hotkeys or macros or drop down menus if you don't want it.
Outfitter vs Itemrack, from my experience.
- More intuitive setup of outfits: Open up your set, which is directly from your paper doll screen, equip the items. Itemrack from what I can tell, open that in its own paper doll UI, pick a set or type in some new set, go through slot by slot, hit save (I forget to do that at times). There's also some auto set building if you want in Outfitter, never used it often but can build sets based on the Highest AP, Stam, Shadow Resist, etc. Saves you from looking through your bags if you know exactly how you want to build it.
- Automation: Though theres events in Itemrack. I never went in em too much. Had to flip a page to search for what I want, I think sorted alphabetically. Outfitter does classify the events, PvP, Activities, etc, so again easier to find and set up. The thing I'm in love with atm is my Fishing set up. If I'm fishing and I enter combat for whatever reason, out pops my warglaives automatically. lol
- Seperation of Full Sets and Partial Sets: Though in Itemrack you can set up "empty slots" to make partial sets. There's no indication of it really. Just names/icons you give it. Outfitter seperates them out and puts them lower. Ease of seeing what you can mix and match.
Hmm can't think of anything else that's definitely different, haven't used Itemrack as much.
But some neat tricks.
- Designate each outfit to show/hide helm/cloak/title. Can pick and choose which one you think it's ugly to hide, and match a title if you want
- Ability to deposit / withdraw all items of an outfit into a bank, or just the ones not used by any other outfit.
- Tooltip to tell you if item is used by any outfit(s)
the menu alone may make it
Sorreah — Sat, 11/01/2008 - 17:23the menu alone may make it worth while
i will have to look into it

You may need to search the full name of it. Satrina Buff Frames.
Pitbull > XPerl. You can make
garreth — Fri, 10/31/2008 - 16:40Pitbull > XPerl.
You can make pitbull look like xperl ;) But with more functionality!
I would totally be on SexyMap if I wasn't trying to cut my UI down below 30mb in a full raid.
Recount Problem
Adwarflol — Sat, 11/01/2008 - 14:49I've had some problems with recount if I leave it running it just noms Memory. It gets a bit out of hand, is there anyway to prevent this ? or have it do a dump everytime it gets to a certain point?
That's what it does. Packs a
saedo — Sat, 11/01/2008 - 15:42That's what it does. Packs a lot of info for you so takes up memory. Guess you can make sure it's only recording from your group/raid and maybe turn off the real time graphs. Otherwise reset if your computer really can't handle it.
Eh, Xperl comes out of the
saedo — Fri, 10/31/2008 - 17:03Eh, Xperl comes out of the box all pretty. And I don't think there's any functionality I really need that I don't already see in Xperl.
SexyMap is 240KB running on my system. Don't see it as a memory hog, yet. lol
